The 25^th Topical Conference on Radio-Frequency Power in Plasmas brought together 126 experts from around the world to Schloss Hohenkammer, Germany, from May 19 to 22, to discuss advances in the theory and experimentation of radio-frequency and microwave power in plasmas.

The 25^th Topical Conference on Radio-Frequency Power in Plasmas was organised by the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics in Garching, Germany, and was sponsored by SPINNER GmbH. Scientific topics in the conference program covered fundamental plasma wave physics, RF and microwave heating, current drive, diagnostics, high-power wave sources and antennas, materials processing, and waves in ionospheric and space plasmas.

The focus was on applications for current and future fusion plants, paving the way to generating energy through nuclear fusion. Additionally, the conference reflected the diversity of current and future facilities in which RF and microwave systems play a pivotal role. Three review talks, 28 invited talks and 90 posters were presented, with strong contributions by graduate students and young scientists. The programme included two topical sessions: ‘The Role of RF Power in Next Step Devices’ and ‘Trends in Numerical Methods and Theory’.
