Broadband Dielectric spectroscopy (BDS) is a well-established experimental technique, successfully used to characterize soft matter at molecular level. The technique is currently employed to investigate phase transitions, molecular relaxation processes and conduction phenomena of polar and nonpolar molecules over a large frequency range in both bulk and confined geometries, e.g. nanopores, single polymer coils, nanocomposites, freestanding membranes.
In this Topical issue of EPJE, we invite submissions of regular and review papers that address the most recent advancement of BDS at experimental level and novel theoretical frameworks rationalizing dielectric relaxation phenomena of soft matter. Topics of interest include soft matter dynamics and phase transitions in amorphous, partially ordered and ordered systems (polymer, liquid and plastic crystals, pharmaceutical drugs, etc.), glassy dynamics and its scaling under different variables (pressure, temperature, electric fields, etc.), investigation of confinement effects, dielectric spectroscopy spatially resolved at micro- and nanoscale, application of BDS to water and hydrogen bonded systems and biomolecules.
The submission is open to everyone working in the field. We invite contributors to communicate their intention to submit manuscripts for this Special Issue to the Guest Editor as soon as possible. Please provide the tentative title of the paper and a short abstract. The full manuscripts should be submitted before the deadline directly to the EPJE Editorial Office at https://articlestatus.edpsciences.org/is/epje/.

Submissions should be clearly identified as intended for the Special Issue "DIELECTRIC SPECTROSCOPY APPLIED TO SOFT MATTER". Papers will be published continuously and will appear (as soon as accepted) on the journal website. The electronic version of the Special Issue will contain all accepted papers in the order of publication. All submitted papers will be refereed according to the usual high standards of the journal.
