This Focus Point on the Physics of Cancer II : Novel Models and Benchmarking Data is the second in a series of topical collections in the journal examining substantial progress and promising research avenues in the understanding of the biological physics of cancer cells and their interactions with the micro-environment.

Following the success of the first edition this new edition will focus on fundamental aspects of collective cell migration and metastasis, the interaction dynamics of tumors with the immune system and on gene regulation in cancer. While emphasis is on the mathematical, physical and computational modelling ofdynamical processes, the guest editors would like to expressly invite data reviews as well as in vitro and clinical studies aimed at constraining or benchmarking theoretical models.

Submission Details:

Articles should be submitted via the journal's online submission system and clearly identified as intended for the topical issue “Physics of Cancer II: Novel Models and Benchmarking Data”.

Detailed author guidelines, including information on paper types, are available in the Submission Guidelines. For manuscript preparation, authors are encouraged to use the journal’s dedicated LaTeX template (preferably in single-column format).

Open Access: EPJ Plus is a hybrid journal offering Open Access publication via the Open Choice programme and a growing number of Open Access Agreements. If the institution of the CORRESPONDING AUTHOR is part of such an agreement, the Open Access fee may be covered by the agreement partner.
